The American Jet Sport Association (AJSA) is a grassroots racing league focused on personal watercraft (PWC) racing, particularly in the southeastern United States.
Established by four experienced racers—Brad Adams, Dustin Higdon, Brad Hill, and Keith McAfee—the AJSA aims to provide safe, affordable racing opportunities with an emphasis on OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) watercraft.
Their mission is to create a racing platform that benefits both racers and manufacturers, fostering a community-centric environment that encourages family participation and local tourism.
The AJSA organization has experienced significant growth since its inception, boasting over 500 members by 2022. That same year, they hosted one of the largest jet ski races in the country, attracting nearly 100 racers.
The AJSA is committed to promoting safe and affordable racing, focusing on OEM watercraft to ensure a level playing field for competitors. Their events are designed to be family-friendly, often drawing participants and spectators from various regions, thereby boosting local tourism and community engagement.
